Citizens of: China, The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Egypt, Ethiopia, EU, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Serbia (if the passport is NOT biometric), Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, UK, US, Vietnam and several other countries are required to obtain a visa to visit Russia.

Visa is not required for citizens of: Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Israel, Georgia (with the exception of work and educational purposes of travel), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia (if the passport is biometric), South Africa, The Republic of Korea, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and several other countries. information at the nearest Russian consulate in your country as well as the requirement to the passport expiration date and the necessary documents.

– An e-visa is issued within 4 calendar days, including week-ends and bank holidays.
– There is no need for any invitations or confirmations. Just fill in the application form on the website.
– There is no need to waste your free time or working hours to visit the consular agency during its business hours. The website works 24/7.
– The unified e-visa is a single entry visa. The validity period of a unified electronic visa is 60 days from the date of issue. The permitted period of stay in the Russian Federation on the basis of a unified e-visa within its validity period shall not exceed 16 days from the date of entry.
– In order to apply for a unified e-visa, it is necessary to submit an application from your personal account on the specialized website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia or through the Russian Foreign Ministry mobile application. The application can be submitted no earlier than 40 days and no later than 4 days before the expected date of entry into the Russian Federation.
– Payment (consular and visa service) can be made by VISA card issued outside the Russian Federation You go through the entire procedure yourself; there is no need to receive any documents from the Organizing Committee.

2) Invitation from the Organizing Committee.
The process of obtaining a Russian visa by invitation from the Organizing Committee:
– Fill out the Application form (request) for an invitation from the Organizing Committee and send it with copy of your passport (1ST page) to MendeleevCongress2024@mesol.ru.
– Receive a special number (telex), which you will need to use when filling out the application form for a Russian visa on the website of the Russian Consulate (until September 10, 2024)
– Fill out the application form for a Russian visa on the website of the Russian Consulate you specified in the Application form (request) for an invitation from the Organizing Committee and come on the day of your appointment with the necessary documents.
Purpose of visit – Scientific and technical contacts.
We recommend visiting the website of Russian Consulate where you will apply for a Russian visa and check the list of the documents you need to prepare.
Generally, they are:
– Passport (should be valid no less than 6 months after the expiry date of the visa you are applying for) + copy;
– 2 photos (some countries require 1 photo);
– Medical insurance (not for all countries);
– Application form for Russian visa (print it out when you fill it out on the Russian consulate website);

Important things:
1. We accept application form (request) for an invitation from the Organizing Committee until August 25, 2024.
2. We accept application form for an invitation from the Organizing Committee only from participants who already have paid (or gave a guarantee) the registration fee.
