The Symposium f-Block elements: Recent Advances and Challenges will be an integral part of the XXII Mendeleev Congress on General and Applied Chemistry. The Symposium is aimed  to unite prominent scientists to explore the latest trends and breakthroughs in the field of f-block elements chemistry.

Main topics:

  • magnetism and spectroscopy;
  • computational studies in Ln and An complexation and solid state chemistry;
  • non-conventional metal-ligand bonding;
  • chemistry behind lanthanide / minor actinide separations;
  • lanthanides and actinides in exotic oxidation states, under extreme conditions, gas phase chemistry;
  • Ln and An applications: catalysis, biomedicine, optoelectronics, single molecule magnets;
  • Ln and An material science, mineralogy, geochemistry, and nanoscience
